Spectators! Here is your ticket to Oedipus Rex opera at The Metropolitan Opera in New York. Now our drama begins.

The Narrator is May Chidiac, a Lebanese journalist, who was attacked by a car blast causing her to lose her left leg and arm.

The assassin of the king is a king. Act I ends with the eruption of the volcano.

Oedipus has killed his father, Laius, and married his mother, Jocasta. Act II begins with the structure collapse.

The structure collapses.

The divine Jocasta is dead.

Behold! The blinded King!

"Spectators, you are about to hear a Latin version of King Oedipus."

The Oedipus Rex opera repeats from the beginning, with the Narrator on the screen.
