kaf wauw noon
written and directed by Lina Younes
composed by Jimmy Sert
kaf wauw noon is a poem about a parallel universe that breathes life to a performance of shadows. The pulse of a clarinet leads to a surreal narrative, where a mystical and transcending cosmos takes form. The performance immerses the audience into a journey of an alternate world, where existence is solely made for the paramour. Recited in Arabic, the text plays on the derivatives of the word ‘universe’, fabricating an alchemy of language to embrace and elevate the encounter.
